Bharati Vidyapeeth, established by Hon’ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam on May 10, 1964, is a prominent educational institution in India. Its initial focus was on organizing competitive examinations in English and Mathematics for school students to foster their interest and proficiency in these subjects. Over the years, it has evolved into a vast educational network encompassing 80 colleges across 12 faculties.Apart from colleges, Bharati Vidyapeeth also operates 73 schools, including junior colleges, offering education at various levels, from pre-primary to secondary. The institution has established major campuses in Pune, Navi Mumbai, Kolhapur, Solapur, Karad, Sangli, and New Delhi the capital city of India.
Among its 80 colleges, Bharati Vidyapeeth offers programs in Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Pharmacy, Environment, Law, Engineering, Architecture, Hotel Management, Biotechnology and Information & Communication Technologies.
The Founder, Hon’ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam, envisioned Bharati Vidyapeeth becoming a full-fledged University, a dream that was realized when the Government of India granted it "Deemed to be University" status for a cluster of 12 colleges/institutes in April 1996. Since then, the University has expanded to include 29 constituent colleges.
In a relatively short span of two decades, Bharati Vidyapeeth has established itself as a leading educational institution in India. It holds a high academic reputation, evident through its accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and its recognition as an 'A' Grade University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.
Hon’ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam's vision of offering diverse academic options to students in a conducive environment is evident in the well-maintained campuses, fully-equipped libraries, laboratories, playgrounds, hostels, and other essential amenities provided by Bharati Vidyapeeth. The institution aims to nurture students' potential in areas such as Arts, Literature, and SportsTop of Form.
