Placement Orientation Program Conducted by the College Placement Cell :

The Placement Cell organized a Placement Orientation Program for Applied Arts and Painting students to guide them about career opportunities after graduation. Faculty members discussed various career paths in painting, applied arts, and government jobs. Students were informed about design-related roles, higher studies, and competitive examinations. The session also emphasized career planning and professional ethics. Overall, the program was informative and beneficial for students’ future planning.

Antaray at Purushottam Karandak :

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts recently participated in the prestigious Purushottam Karandak with the play Antaray, written and directed by Ms. Swanandi Bhartal. The performance blended humor with a strong social message and was highly appreciated by both the audience and judges. Students, including actors and backstage teams, worked dedicatedly to bring the play to life at Bharat Natya Mandir. The event was attended and supported by the Principal, staff, and a large number of students. This achievement highlighted the college’s commitment to artistic excellence and enriched students with valuable theater experience.

IIC discussions at BVCOFA :

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) aims to promote innovation, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurship among students. It plans activities such as industry–academia interaction, innovation celebrations, and student-led initiatives like startup development and expert lectures. The committee will also create a database of student startups, provide workspace support, and collect feedback for improvement. In line with AICTE initiatives, it will encourage project-based learning, hackathons, mentorship programs, and training in emerging technologies. Programs like ARI, MODROBS, SSPCA, and IIC offer valuable opportunities for research, skill development, and global exposure.

Majha Bappa: Eco Friendly Ganpati Bappa making workshop :

The Student Council of the College of Fine Arts organized an eco-friendly Ganpati idol–making workshop for Bharati Vidyapeeth English Medium School students in collaboration with Pudhari newspaper. Students learned to create Ganpati idols using clay and natural materials while understanding the environmental impact of non-biodegradable idols. The workshop encouraged sustainable celebration practices for Ganesh Chaturthi and nurtured environmental awareness among participants. It also provided a creative platform for students to express their artistry responsibly. The initiative successfully promoted both cultural appreciation and ecological sensitivity.

Stamping New Ideas: Students Gear Up for National Design Competition:

On 11th August 2025, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts conducted a special stamp design lecture for 9th and 10th standard students of Bharati Vidyapeeth School. The session, led by Ms. Vedashri Chitnis (4th-year Applied Arts), introduced students to the basics of stamp design, creative layout techniques, and examples of past winning stamps. The interactive session helped students understand both the artistic and cultural value of stamp creation. Overall, the lecture inspired and prepared them to confidently participate in the upcoming National Level Stamp Design Competition.

Alumni Interaction Session with Ms. Rajnandini Chavan – Inspiring Participation in Skill India & WorldSkills :

The session by Ms. Rajnandini Chavan gave students direct insights into the Skill India and WorldSkills competition pathway, including eligibility, selection rounds, and preparation methods. She shared practical tips on portfolio building, software proficiency, design speed, and presentation skills. Her experience as a national finalist motivated students to take competitions seriously as career-building opportunities. The interaction inspired many to plan for future participation and begin collaborative preparation within the college.

Alumni Interaction Session with Akash Jhanwar – Bridging Academia and Industry :

The alumni session with Akash Jhanwar, founder of The Design Trip, gave students valuable insights into professional design practices and studio workflow. He shared real-world experiences, reviewed student work, and emphasized concept clarity, teamwork, and client expectations. His industry perspective highlighted the importance of professionalism, adaptability, and meaningful portfolios. The interaction inspired students and helped bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry application.

Alumni Interaction Session with Akshata Ketkar :

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts organized an inspiring alumni interaction session with Akshata Ketkar, Graphic Designer and alumna now working at Studio Vitamin D. She shared her journey from student life to professional design practice, offering insights on concept development, portfolio building, and industry expectations. The session highlighted how academic projects can evolve into strong professional assets. Students gained clarity, motivation, and confidence in shaping their creative careers. This initiative successfully connected classroom learning with real-world design industry experience.

Alumni Session with Illustrator Maitreyi Mahamuni :

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts hosted an insightful alumni interaction session with Maitreyi Mahamuni, a professional illustrator and former student. She shared her journey and guided students through campaign design methodologies including research, ideation, and presentation. The session provided practical insights on understanding audiences, structuring concepts, and aligning design with communication goals. Students gained confidence, clarity, and a more professional approach to their campaign projects. This initiative successfully connected academic learning with the realities of the design industry.

Live Abstract Painting Demonstration by Prof. Rupesh Pawar :

The Department of Painting and Applied Arts at BVCOFA hosted a live abstract painting demonstration by Vice Principal Prof. Rupesh Pawar, known for his expressive and experimental artistic style. He introduced students to the principles of abstract art, emphasizing emotional expression, color theory, texture, and intuitive composition. Students observed the creation of an abstract work in real time, gaining insights into technique and creative decision-making. The session encouraged artistic exploration, originality, and confidence in personal expression. It was an inspiring learning experience that deeply enriched students’ understanding of abstract art.

“Nature’s Symphony: Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Rain-Soaked Expedition at Taljai Tekdi” :

On 8th July 2025, students of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts, along with Principal Dr. Anupama Patil and faculty, enjoyed an enriching nature walk at Taljai Tekdi, Katraj. The rainy weather enhanced the beauty of the lush landscape, wildlife sightings, and overall sensory experience. Guided insights on local ecology offered by faculty added educational depth to the journey. The walk strengthened bonds among students while deepening their appreciation for nature. It was a refreshing, memorable, and inspiring escape from classroom routine.
