NSS Camp at Shindewadi - 1st to 7th February 2016
This camp inculcates social responsibility in students by exposing them to various social issues. Students too take initiative in offering help in resolving various issues on root level. Competitions for school students, awareness program on saving girl child, women education and empowerment etc are prime program conducted under this camp.
National Survey Scheme
'National Survey Scheme' Camp'10-11 was organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Fine Arts, Pune., at 'Gujar Nimbalkar Wadi' Haveli, Pune from Jan 27th’11 to Feb 2nd'11.
An artistic view of the art students made a big difference to the Camp. All the students went to the villagers personally under various schemes that earned lot of positive response to the camp.
Teacher’s guidance, valuable inputs of the elderly people of the village and the youth worked together at the Camp & created harmony in work …to illustrate that: nothing is impossible when all the ends work together with dedication…
30 students along with staff and student representatives participated to make the NSS Camp a grand success.
The students camped at an orphanage school named ‘Sumati Bal Van’, where Kids from age 4 to 16 live and study.
Along with the kids, camper’s day used to start at 5 am. Prayers, flag hosting, Pune University anthem, exercise, a cleaning up of the surrounding area were the few activities were taken under the Camp.
Sarpanch of GujarNimbalkar wadi Smt. Baiadabai Kondhalkar inaugurated the Camp. Grampanchayat members Shri. Shantaram Vithoba Kamthe, Shri. Nandu Nimbalkar, Smt. Kavita Tulsjiram Shinde, Shri Balasaheb Jankar as well as Shri Pappu Gujar, Shri. Govind Khopade, Shri. Anil Nimbalkar, Shri. Shivaji Bhate of ‘Yuva Garjana Group’ , Principal of the College Dr. D. R. Bankar, villagers, teaching, non teaching staff & students were present at the inauguration function.
There were few speeches by reputed people like Dr. Sing spoke about Farming, Shri. Avinash Mhetre spoke about Personality Development, Dr. B. L. Thange spoke about History, Shri. Ganesh Zende spoke about Environment. Students & villagers were delighted to receive the knowledge.

- Dental Camp (Dr. Vidya Kamble, Dr. Rupali Nagarwal, Dr. Saloni Naiwal, Dr. Rupali Patel, Dr. Jigisha Patel participated in the Camp)
- Bridge work on the water stream
- Road leveling
- Street plays and other educative entertaining forms for Social awareness
Dr. Shakira Inamdar, Head of ‘National Survey Scheme’ Pune University made a visit to the Camp and addressed the Campers.
